SOPHIE GIBBETT MA, BA (HONS)

My name is Sophie and I am a HCPC registered Music Therapist based in North Devon. My approach to practice is humanistic, person-centred and strength-based: I believe that in each of us there exists ability, and the innate capacity to connect and relate through music.

I have experience working with children and adults of all ages in a range of settings. Areas of my experience include those with profound and multiple complex needs, extreme and/or challenging behaviour(s), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Aphasia, Dysarthria and Dysphagia, Parkinson's Disease, Deaf and Deafblind adults with additional needs, and mental health.

I also work part-time for The Mountain Way, a charity supporting veterans with PTSD.
